Fire Break Setups

Fire Break Setup Explanation

To setup fire break setups, the goal to get an effective setup is to get a knockdown, getting the fire break, and an A Agi throughout the combo. These can be set up within midscreen or the corner. Midscreen, it is best to use a D Maragidyne as a way to bring your opponent back to you and Maragidyne usually ends in knockdown, getting the fire break within it and putting the A Agi right before the opponent techs will set this up and you'll release right after the opponent techs or just a bit after to have enough time for the Agi to charge. You can use Maragi if you so desire but A Agi is the one with the least counter play. The reason of it having less counterplay is if they try to do a reversal option such as a DP or Super, you have time to pick the counterplay to the option they chose. There is no meaty that you can use besides Agi itself. In the corner, This requires at least 75 meter to perform. You can setup through a confirm that does not have too much moves before the 214B (ex: 5AA > 2C > 214B) as when you use too much of the C moves the combo will not connect and the use of the C moves can allow for the Agi's to charge up. SB Agi will be used within the combo to setup both a fire break and a fire boost. A Agi will be used as the placeholder of the unblockable move and will go into a C Agidyne ender as it will give the KD that is needed and you will put yourself towards the wall to set up a crossup/roll, as soon as they tech, release the Agi and roll and confirm right after. If you have fire break prior to doing a string/combo you have options to use the fire break. If the persona is displaced and you are doing pressure with the Persona you can do 2C/5C > 214A > super as it is the gapless option for the C normals. If you are close, if you get them in pressure, you can do 5AA > 236A > OMB/OMC into 2C > 5C > 214B> ....
