Key Neutral Tools
1B/2B/3B, 4B/5B/6B, j.4B/j.5B/j.6B
Most of your gameplan will revolve around this tool. Having good fan placement is vital when playing Yukiko; When throwing out fans, you must understand where the opponent is, where they want to be, where you want them to be, and what will stop them from getting to you. Using 4B/4BB, you can travel with it, and 6B is used to disrupt the opponent from a distance. IABD j.6B should be not be used carelessly and try to avoid using this if they are in close proximity If they are making aerial pushes from a distance you can try to hit them with 2B, it's best to try throwing one fan at a time instead of throwing two in neutral as missing a fan is crucial and will get you punished.
4D/5D/6D and 1D/2D/3D/j.4D/j.D/j.6D
A zoning tool, 5D and 2D buttons each cover different parts of the screen. Utilizing the ranges can stop approaches and may keep them in a position that is hard to get to you. Although it has plus frames, if they blocked it they break the persona and take the card. It's best to work with fans to follow up or rush down with Konohana Sakuya to add protection for Konohana Sakuya and Yukiko.
Agi [236A/B]
Another projectile to use in the field. Use this to keep distance or to stop some approaches. Setting some obstruction to keep away from the opponent. The recovery of Agi makes it better to use it in neutral.
Should be used carefully, may be punished if they find a way through or in a bad position using Agi, try to Agi where it is in range.
Maragi [236C/D/CD]
C and D Maragi can halt approaches and can be used as an anti-air, C Maragi is a slow moving projectile and D Maragi is fast moving projectile, both hits low. Holding the Maragi adds the threat of approaching, if they roll or airdash, they may get hit by the pillar by detonation. CD Maragi can help with trying to make a close range approach, you can run with both the projectiles, this is to make an approach and if they roll, airdash, DP, counterattck, the maragi will hit them.
Best used from far ranges, unsafe up close.
Phoenix Flame Swirl [214214A/B/AB]
Once reaching fire level 3, you can unlock this special. One of the best zoning tools Yukiko has. It nullifies projectiles and has a fast startup. A version is fast can be used to stop approaches but can be beaten by rolls but the B version is slightly slower than A so it can be used if the opponent is using rolls to get away and can punish them for rolling at the wrong time.
